It may have been strategically a mistake to have not spent more and to have tried to perform better. If additional money had meant second place instead of third, and possibly cut trump’s margin of victory some, it would have given more of a boost to Sen. Cruz going into SC and slowed trump’s momentum a little.
NH is not that important. It is a very liberal state with an open primary, it was always going to go to Trump and Bernie. Ted Cruz spent very little there, even iCarly spent more than twice what he spent. Still, Cruz beat Jeb Bush who outspent him 62-1 in the state (counting super PAC spending)
